Life Teen: Real Ministry Stories

Life Teen wanted a video series to show during their annual conference for youth ministers, who spend most of their time wrangling middle and high school students — and who often feel alone or discouraged in their work.

These quirky videos retold real stories from youth ministers across the U.S., with stop-motion photo montages and miniatures to recreate their wild tales. As the director and producer, I conducted interviews, developed the visuals, directed the photo recreations, and convinced my manager to let me (safely!) set some small wooden churches on fire.

The videos received a great reaction at the conference. Not only did they get big laughs, they also prompted great conversations among the youth ministers. Plus, I got to keep the little toy people.
